New Canaan Police at 9:14 p.m Monday received a report of a residential burglary on Skyview Lane. Stolen items include jewelry. Police have no suspects at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Dozens of dogs were dressed up for New Canaan Chamber of Commerce’s annual Halloween Block Party, held Oct. 27 on Elm Street. It featured music from the School of Rock and dogs such as Holly, at right, for a new “Howl-O-Ween” parade. Police at 7:48 p.m. on Oct. 18 arrested a 40-year-old New Canaan woman by warrant and charged her with second-degree failure to appear. The Heritage Hill Road resident didn’t appear in court following an August arrest for leaving a child unsupervised in place of public accommodation or motor vehicle (statute here). She’s now scheduled for arraignment Nov. 1.
