For her 90th birthday, Lea Allen Gebauer—a resident of The Inn, Waveny LifeCare Network’s independent living community—asked that her sons’ art work be presented in the gallery there. “Waveny is proud to honor Lea’s wish by displaying this art work,” the organization said in a press release. “It celebrates not only her 90 years of life but also the creativity she has inspired in those around her. It also marks the first time the brothers have shown their work together.” The art will be on display at The Inn Dec. 8 to Jan. 30, and can be viewed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The cause of death in the case of a New Canaan woman who died in September at a Lakeview Avenue apartment complex has yet to be established pending an investigation, according to the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The Exchange Club of New Canaan’s annual Christmas tree and wreath sale is up and running at the Kiwanis Park lot, 77 Old Norwalk Road. A fundraiser for local and area charities, the sale runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. More info here.

Jorge Velez, the friendliest lifeguard at the Darien YMCA, will graduate next spring from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He’s seeking an internship in that field. Jorge is a hard worker—he transferred to Storrs after two years at UConn-Stamford. Here’s his resume and here’s his LinkedIn profile. Deck the Walls,” a new exhibition at the Carriage Barn Arts Center featuring holiday wreaths, small works and a holiday artisan marketplace, will run Nov. 30 to Dec. 14.

Reminder: VFW Post 653 is seeking help laying wreaths and planting flags beside the gravestones of veterans interred in New Canaan.
