New Canaan Police are investigating a burglary on Oenoke Ridge near the intersection of Logan Road, reported at 11:41 p.m. on Jan. 23. The burglars used a ladder to access the home’s second floor, police said.

Police at 1:33 p.m. on Jan. 23 received a vandalism complaint—someone appeared to have drawn with a marker on a car downtown on Main Street. The complainant decided not to pursue the matter and the case is closed, police said.

The United Methodist Church of New Canaan from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27 will hold its next “Kids on a Mission” free event — an evening of service and reflection for families with children in grades K-8. More information can be found here.

Spencer Skyrm (center)

Congratulations to Spencer Skyrm, a sophomore on the New Canaan High School Fencing Team, who took home 1st place in Senior Men’s Foil at the Connecticut State Junior Varsity Fencing Tournament at North Haven High School on Jan. 10. Coached by co-captains Tyler Bleil and Colin Sharma, he advanced through multiple rounds, defeating competitors from more than 10 schools to earn the first-place medal.
