Police last week arrested a 23-year-old Ansonia woman following a verbal dispute on Forest Street.
At about 11:35 p.m. on Aug. 10 (a Thursday), officers were dispatched to a Forest Street home on a report of a dispute between the woman and another person at the residence, according to police said.
There, police learned that authorities had an active arrest warrant out for the woman out of New Haven and New Canaan.
According to Connecticut Judicial Branch records, New Canaan Police in April 2021 charged the woman with sixth-degree larceny and July 2022 charged her with second-degree failure to appear.
At about 12:44 a.m. on Aug. 11, they charged her again with the misdemeanor FTA offense, and held her on $5,000 bond.
She was scheduled to appear the same day in state Superior Court.
The woman remains in custody, court records show, and has not yet pleaded. She’s scheduled to appear again Aug. 30.
