  1. Now the town is applying for a building permit for the theater. How many months has the work been going on? What took so long? How was any work authorized to begin? Why two sets of regulations —one for the Town and one for those who make their living following the rules and regulations while renovating and building.

      • Are you referencing affordable housing applications? Are you not in favor of affordable housing

        • May I suggest you self reflect and discuss with your financial, political and legal supporters if the methods you and your supporters are using are in fact moving the ball forward in creating a more genuine affordable New Canaan, or if in fact they are counter productive to that cause, even if they provide individual financial benefit.

          • Do you stop for red lights and stop signs? Those are also state laws that were passed. You might not like the law on the books for 30 plus years but it was created for cities and town who just said no The selectman was offered senior housing and town homes but said no And five+ years prior we stated at a public meeting we were going to build multi family at weed/elm

          • There was self-reflection years ago, along with reaching out to town leadership, and it became quite clear that the only viable option to moving the ball forward and creating more housing options, including developments that contain both affordable units and market units, was to utilize state law to do so. Apparently, NIMBYism is alive and well.
It’s not entirely clear how creating actual, genuine affordable housing units is counter productive to creating actual, genuine affordable housing units.

  2. I very much doubt that the taxpayers in this town want the acquisition of the Gulf station by the town.

  3. Interesting that u stated u were going to build Multi-Family when it is Single Family Zoning and you aren’t connected to town sewer. You might not like the law on the books but those are the laws. Regardless of your “connections” with local police and officials.

  4. Perhaps he is referring to you Paul Stone stalking and filming a woman for handing out Signs in the HS Parking lot? Or perhaps he is referring to Karp’s trespassing and trying to intimidate women and children. Or when a NC police officer violated a law. Anytime u2 would like to meet me alone and “discuss” any of this just name the time and place.

    • I hope that your final comment above is not a threat Greg—
Let’s clarify your ramblings— the property has been connected to sewer since 1959. We certainly have no nefarious connections. What we do have is the 30 year old law on our side. We certainly have a selectman and residents who think New Canaan is above the law. Please explain the following statements—how we are trespassing with a valid and legal easement —how we are intimidating woman and children on a public land use matter— what you think the Canaan police did improperly. It’s time to talk facts not innuendo
