Police late Saturday arrested a 61-year-old Norwalk man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 10:28 p.m. on March 18, officers were dispatched to the area of New Norwalk and Brushy Ridge Roads on a report of a car crash, police said.
There, the Norwalk man was identified as a driver involved in the crash, and officers smelled alcohol on his breath, according to a police report.
After administering field sobriety tests, police placed him under arrest on the misdemeanor offense, the report said.
At headquarters, he provided a breath sample that established his blood-alcohol level at .182, more than twice the legal limit, it said.
He additionally was cited for making an improper turn.
Police released the man on $400 bond and scheduled him to appear March 30 in state Superior Court.
