Police after midnight Saturday arrested a 68-year-old Yarmouth Port, Mass. man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 12:52 a.m. on Sept. 30, an officer on patrol spotted a car speeding and traveling erratically on Route 123, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer administered field sobriety tests and took the man into custody on the misdemeanor charge, the report said.
He was transported back to police headquarters for processing. It’s unclear whether the man provided a sample to establish his blood-alcohol level.
He additionally was cited for speeding and failure to drive right.
The man was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 19 in state Superior Court.
