Police last week arrested a 52-year-old Norwalk woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 9:13 p.m. on July 30 (a Tuesday), officers responded to Smith Ridge Road on a report of a vehicle driving on the wrong side, according to police.
Officers found the vehicle and stopped it, police said.
In speaking to the driver, they smelled alcohol and found other signs of impairment, according to a police report.
Police conducted field sobriety tests and brought the misdemeanor charge against the woman.
At headquarters, she refused to provide a sample to establish her blood-alcohol level, the report said.
She additionally was cited for failure to drive right.
Police released the woman on $250 bond and scheduled her to appear Aug. 9 in state Superior Court.
