Elaine Soeurt Hunt, 59, of New Canaan, CT passed away on April 9, 2021 at Norwalk Hospital with her loving family by her side. Elaine was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 12, 1961 to the late George and Lois Soeurt.

She grew up in Homewood, Illinois and Hancock, Wisconsin along with her three sisters where she attended Beloit College and later the University of Chicago. Elaine helped found Atlantic Asset Management in Stamford, CT where she worked for many years. She loved to travel the world, enjoy evenings with her friends, and spend time with her two boys.
Her memory lives on through her two sons Connor and Carter Hunt, as well as her sisters Anne Meronk and Jeanette Curtis.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held on Friday, April 23rd at 1 pm at the Congregational Church of New Canaan. In lieu of flowers contributions in Elaine’s memory can be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

How sad I felt as I read this obituary. When Connor was in First Grade and Carter was in pre-school they used to play in Kiwanis Park with my son Jordan. Whenever it rained or became too cold outside, the boys, along with their nanny, walked over to my home for snacks and to “finish” playing.
Both boys were extremely polite and well-mannered, a fine reflection on their upbringing. Their nanny always spoke kindly of Elaine.
Alas, I didn’t have a chance to know Elaine because she worked full time. My condolences to Connor and Carter on loss of your beloved mother.
