Police this month arrested a 30-year-old Danbury man in connection with a crash on Route 123.
At about 5:45 a.m. on Aug. 8 (a Thursday), officer were dispatched to the area of Smith Ridge Road, north of Michigan Road, on a report of a vehicle that struck a fence and left the scene, according to police.
Using a license plate reader, authorities were able to identify the evading vehicle, according to a police report.
The man was charged with evading responsibility and also cited for operating a motor vehicle with a license.
He was released after promising to appear Sept. 9 in state Superior Court.
