Police on Saturday arrested 20-year-old River Street man and charged him with evading responsibility.
At about 3:47 a.m. on June 24, officers were dispatched to the area of 201 White Oak Shade Road on a report of a single-car crash, officials say.
The car had struck a rock wall and utility pole, causing minor damage, according to a police report.
Police identified the New Canaan man as the driver, the report said.
He was arrested at 3:10 p.m. the same day, and was additionally charged with failure to drive right, it said.
Police released the man after he promised to appear July 7 in state Superior Court.
