Police on Tuesday morning arrested a 48-year-old New Canaan man by warrant and charged with second-degree failure to appear.
At 8:14 a.m. on April 25, officers took custody of the man at his Hillside Avenue home on an active paperless re-arrest warrant that stemmed from motor vehicle charges last January.
The man had been cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding on Jan. 3, 2015, and failed to pay or plead to his summons for the infraction offenses.
He was transported to headquarters, processed for the new charge and released on $500 bond.
His new court date is May 8.
