Razed in 2008, the former home will be replaced by a 5-bedroom and 5-bathroom home, according to the permit, issued July 25.

To be built by Cheshire-based FR Dinatali LLC for $600,000, the permit says, it will also include a half-bath, two fireplaces, attic, unfinished basement, 3-car garage and open front porch.

The architect on the project is Wolcott-based James T. Tuttle, the permit says.

The property was purchased last month for $657,500—a lot now overgrown that will look familiar to many motorists. It’s above the Merritt Parkway overpass and just below Shagbark, on the right hand side of the road as you’re traveling north, with a low stone wall running parallel to the street.
