I am supporting Liz Gores Donovan for Town Council. She is highly qualified and can help preserve the unique character of New Canaan providing leadership to guide our town into the future.
Liz has the skills that will be valuable such as technology and telecommunications.
She was born in New Canaan, to a prominent family, and has lived here much of her life. Liz is the youngest daughter of the famed architect Landis Gores, one of the famed Harvard Five. While currently living in the first house her father designed she understands and appreciates the value of historic preservation.
Having earned degrees from Princeton and Monmouth Universities, Liz lived in New Jersey and while there was involved in the corporate world of telecommunications with management roles ranging from corporate trainer to software developer. These skills could prove very helpful to solving some of our problems in those areas.
She has returned to New Canaan and is taking care of her mother, realizing the needs and special requirements of the aging; Liz formed a company to help that population.
As we have an increasing aging population this would be another valuable asset that she brings. Liz Gores Donovan will be valuable, committed and good for our town as a member of the Town Council.
A vote for Liz will help bring a new way of thinking, a new set of skills and a committed hard-working member of our town government.
