Police on Wednesday arrested a 20-year-old New Haven man in connection with the theft of a BMW in January.
On Jan. 18, officers took a complaint of a BMW stolen from a North Wilton Road home, according to a police report.
Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was recovered in New Haven, the report said.
During the same timeframe, another vehicle was reported stolen out of Wilton, police said.
Following an investigation that included Wilton and New Canaan Police, the man was identified as the person responsible for the BMW theft, the report said.
Police obtained a warrant for first-degree larceny and served it on him in New Haven.
He was held on $35,000 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 24 in state Superior Court.
