Police on Friday arrested a 36-year-old Pound Ridge, N.Y. man and charged him with possession of a controlled substance.
At about 1:28 p.m. on April 22, an officer conducting a distracted driving enforcement patrol saw the man driving on Route 123 without wearing a seatbelt, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, police found that the man was in possession of cocaine, the report said.
The man was taken into custody. The offense carries a $150 penalty, under state law.
Police released the man after he promised to appear May 5 in state Superior Court.
