Town officials have approved a building permit for a 9,386-square-foot home for a vacant 2.07-acre parcel purchased in April for $1,650,000.

To be built by property owner Fore Group Inc of Farmington, the new construction at 183 Hemlock Hill Road (on a corner at West Road) will include six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half-baths and a 4-car garage, according to the permit, issued Oct. 27.
It will cost about $1,550,000 to build, the permit said.
This 9,386-square-foot home is planned for 183 Hemlock Hill Road. It will be built by Farmington-based Fore Group Inc., also the architect.

The building department on Oct. 27 received a permit application to build a new 6-bedroom home on the 3.05-acre property at 59 Ferris Hill Road.

To be built by SJ Homes LLC, it will include five full bathrooms, guest bedroom, family room, sitting room, formal and living rooms and a 3-car garage. It also will include guest suites and total livable space following new construction will come to 7,974 square feet, according to the application.
Formerly the site of a 3-bedroom home built in the style of a log cabin (a demolition permit was issued Oct. 22) on a lot with significant wetlands, the property sold in July for $995,000, tax records show.
