AARP to educate Men’s Club about fraud
October 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Members of the New Canaan Men’s Club will learn about various schemes used to carry out ID theft, fraud and scams targeting seniors from representatives of Connecticut AARP, John Wilson and L. Stableford, in their talk, “Inside the Criminal Mind.”
The meeting, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge, will begin at 10 a.m. with the AARP presentation expected to begin around 10:40 a.m., following the business portion of the session.
Wilson and Stableford’s presentation, part of the AARP Fraud Watch Network, will be interactive and show actual footage of scammers and provide their insights and advice on way seniors can avoid being taken advantage of.
The Men’s Club has openings for new members, men 55-years old and above. For information about joining, email ncmens@ncmens.info.
