New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome The New York Times bestselling author William Martin, speaking on his recently released WW II thriller, December ’41. The event will be held in person in the Library’s Curtis Gallery, on Thursday, June 9 at 7 PM. Please register to attend at newcanaanlibrary.org.
On the day after Pearl Harbor, shocked Americans gather around their radios to hear Franklin Roosevelt declare war. In Los Angeles, a German agent named Martin Browning is planning to kill FDR on the night he lights the National Christmas Tree. The train of narrow escapes, mistaken identities, and shocking deaths is right on schedule. December ’41 is a thrilling ride that will sweep readers from the back lots of Hollywood to the speeding Super Chief to that solemn Christmas Eve.

William Martin, called the “king of the historical thriller” by the Providence Journal, has become synonymous with meticulously researched, edge-of-your-seat thrillers that transport the reader across time and place. December ’41 is no different, and long-time readers and new fans alike will not be able to turn the pages fast enough this summer.

To celebrate the launch of the book, a light reception will follow the author’s talk. This event is presented in collaboration with Elm Street Book Store.
