Blossom Hill Farm to Fork Dinner
Friday, September, 16, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
CNN’s Alisyn Camerota Joining Blossom Hill’s Annual Dinner to Benefit Refugees
New Canaan, CT: Blossom Hill Foundation is pleased to announce its upcoming annual Farm to Fork dinner will feature CNN’s award-winning anchor, Alisyn Camerota. The event will take place at the Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6 – 9 pm. The Foundation’s mission is to fund innovative ideas that enable children and youth affected by war to thrive.
Camerota will moderate a panel discussion with several Blossom Hill Fellows who will discuss the impact their work is having on refugee children and youth in the Middle East. From a Montessori-inspired early childhood education program to science education that transcends language barriers, these programs are the first and only of their kind in the regions they serve. In addition, a Syrian and an Afghan refugee will talk about their journeys from their war-torn countries to the US and how similar programs have transformed their lives.
“The theme of the evening’s dinner will be centered around roots,” said Shiva Sarram, Founder and CEO of Blossom Hill. “All the refugee children we serve were uprooted and endured horrific journeys when they fled war, and our programs are empowering them to once again plant new roots in their new communities so they can thrive and pursue their dreams.”
Many of their stories have been captured in the special cookbook, Roots: Blossom Hill Recipes and Journeys, which shares favorite recipes from what was once home. The complimentary cookbook will be available to the dinner’s attendees. The evening’s dinner will also feature some of these recipes.
Seats are limited. To purchase your ticket, please go to: https://blossomhill-foundation.org/rsvp/
Please join the Blossom Hill Family for this special evening!
