New Canaan Land Trust Today: An Introductory Talk on the Organization, Their Mission and Their Vision, presented at New Canaan Library

Wednesday, September, 4, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Aaron Lefland, Executive Director of New Canaan Land Trust, who will present an overview of the many facets of this important community organization. The talk will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register to attend, online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

Did you know that New Canaan’s largest private landowner is the New Canaan Land Trust? Did you know that they own and manage close to 75 properties, many of which are open to the public? Have you ever wondered what a conservation easement is, or why land stewardship is so important? All of these questions, and more, will be addressed by Aaron Lefland. Attendees will also learn about New Canaan Land Trust’s current initiatives, ways to become involved with the organization, and most importantly, come away with a greater appreciation for the conserved open spaces in New Canaan.
