On Monday, July 10, the New Canaan Republican Town Committee (RTC) will hold a candidate open house at which residents can meet and greet Republican candidates for the upcoming caucus. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Wagner Room at New Canaan High School immediately preceding the RTC’s regular monthly meeting.

On Wednesday, July 12, the RTC will be sponsoring a second debate among the three candidates for First Selectman, Cristina Aguirre-Ross, Rob Mallozzi, and Kevin Moynihan, and, followed by a debate between Christa Kenin and Nick Williams, the two candidates for Selectman, and a debate among Roy Abramowitz, Tom Butterworth, John Engel, Mike Mauro, Richard Townsend and Penny Young, candidates for Town Council. The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the New Canaan Town Hall. The debate will be broadcast by NCTV Channel 79.

The public is invited to these events so that they will have opportunities to learn about the candidates who are seeking Republican endorsement at the July 18 caucus.
