The New Canaan Building Department on Tuesday received an application to build a modular home on a 4.23-acre Cross Ridge Road property that will include a site-built “connector” to its garage.

The home at 80 Cross Ridge Road (a lot that was sold last August) on its first floor will include a kitchen, pantry, mechanical room, living room, dining room, master bedroom and bathroom, and a second bedroom with its bathroom. Together with the connector and garage, that level will come to 3,268 square feet.

A finished basement with a mechanical room and future bath area will include 1,595 square feet (about 4,862 square feet total, the applicant said).
The home will cost about $800,000 to build, the application said—the contractor is West Construction of New Canaan, with specs by California-based Blu Homes.
