The town last week received an application to build a new 2,725-square-foot home on Harrison Avenue.
The new house planned for 14 Harrison Ave. will include four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, one half-bath, a finished attic (485 square feet) and finished basement (775 square feet), according to a building permit application received April 30.
The new home will cost about $678,750 to build, the application said.
The .15-acre property was purchased by a limited liability company in March for $600,000, tax records show. It includes a 1,524-square-foot house. A permit to demolish that structure had been applied for in February and hasn’t yet been granted, according to town building records.
The ownership LLC’s managing principals are a Westport man and New Canaan man, state records show.
The contractor on the new house appears to be Barrington Building Co. of Westport, the architect ADA Architects of Norwalk.
