The town Building Department last week received an application to build a 10,000-square-foot home in northern New Canaan.
The seven-bedroom home planned for 113 Hemlock Hill Road will include eight full bathrooms, four half-baths and four fireplaces, according to a building permit application filed June 14.
It will have 25 total rooms and will cost about $3 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Coastal Luxury Homes and the architect is Tanner White Architects, both of Westport, the application said.
The property had been purchased last September for $2,650,000, according to tax records.
The new homeowner in March obtained a permit to demolish the 1959-built, 5,500-square-foot Colonial that had stood on the property.
The property includes 4.98 acres in the two-acre zone, tax records show.
