The New Canaan Building Department on June 20 received an application for a new 5,761-square-foot home on Putnam Road.
The new home planned for 194 Putnam Road will include four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a half-bath, according to the application.
The lower level will be finished with a playroom and wine storage area, and the house will include an attached three-car garage, it said.
The town on June 21 received a demolition application for the pool and house on the 1.02-acre property, a 1963-built one-story ranch with 2,064 square feet of living space.
The home last sold in December for $1,340,000, tax records show.
