The New Canaan Building Department on Sept. 29 received an application to construct a 9,800-square-foot home on Spring Water Lane.
The Colonial-style house at 388 Spring Water Lane will include five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two half-baths and an attached pool house, according to the application.
It will cost about $3,775,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job will be John Ruddy/Ruddy Builders LLC of Darien, the architect Stephen Jones, also of Darien, it said.
The vacant, 2.78-acre parcel was purchased in May 2021 for $1,250,000, tax records show. A demolition permit had been obtained in January 2020 for the prior residential structure on the lot.
