The New Canaan Building Department on June 27 received an application for an 8,700-square-foot house on Turtle Back Road South.
The six-bedroom home planned for 99 Turtle Back Road South will include 18 total rooms and a three-car garage, according to a building permit application. It will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, four fireplaces and recreation and exercise rooms, the application said.
It will cost about $1,050,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Jericho, N.Y.-based Woodcrest Homes LLC, the architect Dennis Peters Designs of Wilton.
The 2.45-acre property includes a 1951-built Colonial, tax records show.
It sold in February for $1,250,000 to a limited liability company whose principals are based in Ardsley, N.Y., according to Connecticut Secretary of the State records.
