The New Canaan Building Department on July 23 received an application to build a 3,050-square-foot house on West Cross Road.
The single-story, three-bedroom home planned for 96 West Cross Road will include two-and-a-half baths and 1,900-square-foot basement, according to the building permit application.
It will cost about $1.5 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Alinea Group LLC of New Fairfield, the architect Ryan Salvatore Design of Darien, it said.
The .63-acre parcel was purchased in December for $628,500, tax records show.
A demolition permit was issued last month for the 1,718-square-foot, 1.5-story Cape on the property.
