NewCanaanite.com Coffee Returns Thursday

After a 609-day break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NewCanaanite.com‘s monthly Community Coffee returns this week.

Access plan for New Canaan Library during construction. South Avenue is on the left, Main Street on the right. There are 76 free library parking spaces available in the Center School Lot. Image courtesy of library

Presented in partnership with New Canaan Library, the coffee will be held 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the library’s art gallery. (As per this week’s notice regarding site work for the building project, please park in the Center School Lot and enter the library via the steps facing Main Street; disabled parking spaces also are available in the small lot that can be accessed via South Avenue, and entry to the building can be accommodated out back.)

The free, public coffee is a group conversation among residents, business owners and nonprofit and other local leaders about what’s happening around town, moderated by New Canaanite editor Michael Dinan. It’s presented in partnership with the library, and we serve Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee (thank you, Doug).

Our last coffee was held at the library March 5, 2020, where we reconnected with childhood pal Andrew Armstrong and wisely shook our heads about mask-wearing in far-flung nations.

Topics of discussion at the coffee come from attendees.

Those who would like to receive a friendly reminder email about the coffee—held the first Thursday of each month—should email Dinan at editor@newcanaanite.com.
