Police late Tuesday arrested a 29-year-old Brookfield woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 10:23 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped the woman after she ran the stop sign at Farm Road and South School, according to a police report.
The officer smelled alcohol on the woman’s breath and she failed subsequent field sobriety tests, the report said.
She refused to undergo a breath test.
Police additionally cited her for failure to obey a stop sign.
The woman was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 14 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
