Police late Monday night cited a 23-year-old Autumn Lane man for minor drug charges after finding him with pot and smoking gear in his parked car at Waveny.
At about 11:42 p.m. on July 18, an officer on patrol in Waveny came upon an occupied vehicle near Lapham Community Center, in violation of the town’s ordinance that restricts park hours, according to a police report.
Approaching the car, the officer detected the odor of marijuana, the report said.
A search tunred up pot, rolling papers, grinder and glass pipe, it said.
The New Canaan man was issued an infraction summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana.
