Police last week arrested a 31-year-old Trumbull man by warrant in connection with a car crash from October.
At about 6:39 a.m. on Oct. 1 (a Thursday), officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Smith Ridge Road on a report of a single-car crash, police said.
A vehicle had traveled off the road and struck two mailboxes and two utility poles, according to a police report.
When police arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied, the report said. The driver never contacted police to report the crash and had left the scene, it said.
He was charged with evading responsibility.
At about 11 a.m. on June 21, officers traveled to Connecticut State Police Troop G in Bridgeport to take custody of the man. He was transported to New Canaan Police headquarters and processed.
Police released the man after he promised to appear July 26 in state Superior Court.
