Police arrested a 32-year-old Heather Drive man by warrant last week and charged him with second-degree failure to appear.
At about 10:34 p.m. on Sept. 13, an officer spotted a car traveling on Locust Avenue with no headlights on, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, police ran the man’s information and discovered that Connecticut State Police Troop E held an active paperless re-arrest warrant for him.
It isn’t clear when or for what the New Canaan man is facing charges.
Troop E patrols the southeastern corner of the state.
A spokesperson with the state police said a search for the incident turned up no report, meaning it was a minor matter.
Police released the man on $500 bond and scheduled him to appear Sept. 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
