Police on Thursday morning arrested a 65-year-old New Canaan man by warrant in connection with a motor vehicle collision last week.
On Oct. 13, a complainant told police about a parked car struck by another vehicle on Locust Avenue, officials said.
Witnesses gave the victim the license plate of the vehicle that had struck the car, according to a police report.
Police used the license plate as well as video surveillance to determine that a Shady Knoll Lane man was at fault, the report said.
He turned himself in at 7:30 a.m. on a charge of evading responsibility and additionally was cited for unsafe backing.
Police released the man on $250 bond and scheduled him to appear Oct. 30 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
