New Canaan Police say a dump truck reported missing in Darien with two guns inside the vehicle turned up in town last week.
According to Lt. Jason Ferraro, the truck had been reported stolen from Darien—possibly Brookside Road—on Sept. 8.
At about 11:49 a.m. the following day, it turned up parked near the corner of Weed Street and Wahackme Road, Ferraro said.
The two guns that had been inside the vehicle when it was stolen were not found, Ferraro said.
It isn’t clear what types of guns went missing. Darien Police are managing the investigation.
