Police on Saturday afternoon arrested a 22-year-old Pound Ridge, N.Y. man by warrant in connection with the theft in November of a shotgun from a New Canaan residential property.

At about 3:08 p.m. on Nov. 5 (a Saturday), officers were dispatched to a Father Peter’s Lane residence on a report of a $7,650 shotgun stolen from a barn on the property, police said.
Following an investigation, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Matthew R. Blasco of 68 Westchester Ave., Apt. C in Pound Ridge, according to a police report.
He was charged with third-degree larceny and third-degree burglary.
Blasco turned himself in to New Canaan Police at 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 25. He was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 10 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
