  1. When I was a kid, I heard Mead Park’s hard surface tennis court was originally a roller skating rink — can anyone confirm that?

    That is correct, it was built as a roller skating rink it had a berm around it so that it could also be flooded in the Winter and used for ice skating.

    the area inside the colonnade was original built as a wading pool and there were two changing room/bathrooms on each corner.
