NEW CANAAN – There’s nothing like a little romance to bring some warmth to this insanely cold and snowy winter we’ve had here in New Canaan. For those not willing to brave the elements and are instead looking to stay local for Valentine’s Day, here’s a few destinations well worth checking out. Roger Sherman Inn – The Roger Sherman is one of the last of its kind in this area, and part of the reason it has survived where others have not is because of its acclaimed restaurant. One of the most romantic spaces in Fairfield County, Executive Chef Christophe Cadou’s French menu will feature a special Valentine’s Day prix fixe for $75 per person. Elm – The slogan at this high-end, sophisticated New American is “rooted in tradition, inspired by the seasons,” and Chef Brian Lewis’ ultra-fresh, refined cuisine consistently delivers.
