Police on Wednesday arrested a 45-year-old Norwalk man and charged him with violation of a standing criminal protective order, a felony offense, and second-degree threatening.
At about 1:46 p.m. on Nov. 19, the victim reported being threatened to police, officials say.
Through an investigation, probable cause was established to place the man under arrest, according to a police report.
He was processed at police headquarters.
It wasn’t clear how the man threatened the victim, how the two individuals are known to each other or what were the terms of the protective order.
Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of second-degree threatening if “[b]y physical threat, such person intentionally places or attempts to place another person in fear of imminent serious physical injury,” among other reasons.
Police held the man overnight on $75,000 bond and scheduled him to appear Thursday in state Superior Court.
