Police on Monday night cited a 24-year-old Darien man on minor drug charges after finding marijuana on him during a traffic stop. At about 7:38 p.m. on Feb. 26, an officer on patrol smelled marijuana as a motor vehicle passed northbound on Ponus Ridge, according to a police report. Following a stop, the officer cited the man, a passenger, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 29-year-old Bridgeport man was cited for possession of marijuana and speeding on Saturday morning. An officer stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on Weed Street after clocking it traveling 46 mph in a 25 mph zone, according to a police report. The officer smelled marijuana during a subsequent stop and, following an investigation, charged him with the infraction-level offenses.
