New Canaan LWV Hosts Meeting with Town’s Delegation to State Legislature
The New Canaan League of Women Voters is hosting a Town Hall meeting with the town's delegation to the Connecticut General Assembly to discuss the legislative session. The event, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, will feature state Sen. Toni Boucher, state Rep. Tom O'Dea and state Rep. Fred Wilms. The Town Hall meeting will be held at Lapham Community Center.

Visiting Nurses To Offer Cholesterol Screening in New Canaan
NEW CANAAN -- Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will offer a cholesterol screening on Monday, September 12 at Lapham Community Center at Waveny Park in New Canaan. The screening is by appointment only and will be held from 8:45 a.m. until 12 noon. The screening includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose, as well as blood pressure and body mass calculation.
