Weston Man, 83, Arrested Again for Writing Bad Checks

For the second time in three months, police on Thursday arrested a Weston octogenarian by warrant for writing bad checks.

The 83-year-old turned himself into police at 12:43 p.m. on April 28 on two counts of issuing a bad check.

Their total value was $13,728.49, according to a police report.

He was released after promising to appear May 9 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

It isn’t clear who received the checks this time around. In February, police arrested the man for issuing two separate checks to New Canaan businesses, in September and October 2015—for $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
