Police are searching for a woman caught stealing $168 worth of feathers Saturday afternoon from a high-end make-up and skin care shop on Elm Street.
At about 3:24 p.m. on Dec. 6, a 48-year-old woman who works at the shop saw video showing that about 90 minutes earlier, a woman picked up a four-pack of feathers designed to put in your hair and placed them on the cashier’s countertop with other items, according to a police report.
When the cashier turned her back, the customer put the feathers into her own bag, and then paid for the other items—with a credit card.
Police are investigating.

Police are investigating several instances of graffiti—indecipherable symbols drawn in black and red marker—at several locations downtown.
A 56-year-old man reported the graffiti to police at 9:11 p.m. on Dec. 1, saying that someone had tagged an electric box at Starbucks, delivery door at Radio Shack and window, door and white fence on Burtis Avenue, as well as a business on Main Street, police say.
