Police on Aug. 27 arrested a 23-year-old Old Stamford Road man and charged him with disorderly conduct.
At about 11:46 a.m. that Thursday, officers were dispatched to the lobby at police headquarters to investigate a reported domestic dispute, officials said.
Through an investigation, police established probable cause for the misdemeanor charge.
Under state law, people are guilty of disorderly conduct if they “with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk … [e]ngages in … threatening behavior; or … annoys or interferes with another person,” among other reasons.
It wasn’t clear what the man did or whether he was related to the victim.
Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
The man was released after promising to appear the following day, Aug. 28, in state Superior Court. The man has not yet pleaded or retained a lawyer 7, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records. He is now scheduled for arraignment Oct. 13, court records show.
