Join Chris Rizzo and Dr. Cameron McIntire to learn why American beech trees are so important to our forests, how Beech Leaf Disease is affecting them, and what can be done about it. Chris, a Yale School of the Environment forestry graduate student and NCLT conservation intern, spent the summer developing a management plan for the Land Trust’s Colhoun Preserve. Dr. McIntire, a plant pathologist with the U.S. Forest Service, visited Colhoun this summer to see the project firsthand and provide guidance on NCLT’s approach to Beech Leaf Disease.
