Police on Thursday night cited a 16-year-old New Canaan girl after breaking up an underage drinking party at her New Norwalk Road home.
At about 9:31 p.m. that night, the first day of April break, police responded to an anonymous tip about the party. Arriving there, officers found eight kids—16- and 17-year-olds—playing Beer Pong and drinking beer, according to a police report.
The teen who lived there told police that her parent were out for the night and unaware of the party, the report said.
Police saw several plastic cups scattered around the room and 16 unopened beers, the report said.
They issued an infraction summons for possession of alcohol by a minor.
