Police on Thursday arrested a 25-year-old Georgia woman by warrant in connection with credit card-related offenses committed while she worked as a caregiver in New Canaan four years ago.
The woman at about 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 13 turned herself in on paperless rearrest warrant issued for crimes that had been committed in New Canaan in 2014 while the woman worked as a caregiver here, according to a police report.
According to Connecticut Judicial Branch records, she had pleaded not guilty in July 2016 to 31 counts of illegal use of a credit card as well as one count each of third-degree forgery, third-degree larceny, a felony offense, and credit card theft.
It wasn’t clear how much she’s accused of stealing.
The offenses had been committed in September and October 2014, the records show. At the time of her initial arrest in 2016, she lived in Bridgeport, according to a police report issued at the time. She now lives in Jonesboro, Ga., the report said.
Police held the woman on $10,000 bond and scheduled her to appear the same day in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
