Police on Friday evening arrested a 23-year-old Pennsylvania man and charged him with third-degree strangulation.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 21, officers were dispatched to a Louise’s Lane home on a report of a domestic dispute between two occupants there, police said.

Following an investigation, police charged the Chadds Ford, Pa. man with strangulation as well as third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

It isn’t clear what the argument involved, whether or how the victim is related to the arrested man or what the extent of injuries were.

Under state law, a person is guilty of third-degree strangulation if he or she “recklessly restrains another person by the neck or throat and impedes the ability of such other person to breathe or restricts blood circulation of such other person.”

Police released the man on $5,000 bond and scheduled him to appear Dec. 24 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
