Police on Tuesday arrested a 23-year-old Tempe, Ariz. man by warrant and charged him with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

At about 10:43 a.m. on June 20 (a Sunday), officers were dispatched to an Oenoke Ridge home regarding a domestic dispute between the man and another occupant of the residence, according to a police report.

Following an investigation, police brought the three misdemeanor charges, the report said.

It’s unclear what the dispute involved, how it turned physical, whether the arrested man is related to the victim or victims, or what were the extent of injuries. Police declined to provide details, calling it a domestic matter.

A person is guilty of third-degree assault, according to state law, when “with intent to cause physical injury to another person, he causes such injury to such person or to a third person” or “recklessly causes serious physical injury to another person or “with criminal negligence, he causes physical injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon, a dangerous instrument or an electronic defense weapon.”

The man turned himself in to police at about 5:10 p.m. on Dec. 14. Police scheduled him to appear Wednesday in state Superior Court.
